 Duties and Responsibilities 

1. Garbage reception for vessels anchored in Shahid Rajaee anchorage.
   · Vessel garbage reception using Mordad 1 is done with the permission of Department of Health and Safety of Environment;
   · Shipmasters can send their requests to discharge the garbage to Department of Health and Safety of Environment by their agent or via VHF Channel 14;
   · After discharging garbage, relevant certification will be delivered to shipmaster;
   · Payment tariff must be based on PMO tariff.
2. Garbage reception for vessels berthed in Shahid Rajaee berths.
   ·  Every morning, vessels berthed in Shahid Rajaee Berths must put garbage classified according to Annex V of MARPOL Convent ion into appreciate garbage pockets and then put them on the berth;
   ·  Every morning and evening, port contractor must collect the garbage and transfer them to landfills determined by the Municipality and Environment Protection Organization;  
   ·  Payment tariff must be based on PMO tariff.
3. Discharging ballast water.
   ·  To discharge ballast water of vessels berthed in Shahid Rajaee berths, Shipmasters must get the permission of  Department of Health and Safety of Environment;
   ·  To get the permission of discharging ballast water, ship agent must deliver the relevant request to the Department of Health and Safety of Environment. After delivering the request, relevant experts present onboard the vessel  and  issue necessary licenses.
4. Collecting oil spoils of the vessels berthed in Shahid Rajaee berths.
   ·  Port contractor is in charge of collecting the oil spoils;
   ·  To discharge oil spoils, shipmaster must deliver the relevant request to Department of Health and Safety of Environment at least 48 hours before the operations start.
5. Air pollutions from ships.
   ·  To achieve to the third 5 year goals and to membership in Annex VI of MARPOL Convention, air pollution is carefully controlled;
   ·  If any air pollution from ships be observed, relevant expert will remind the shipmaster via standard forms (in this standard form, a 60 minute grace period is intended for troubleshooting);
   ·  If shortcomings don't fix in the deadline, offender ship will be dealt with more severely through taking the cost of expert actions as well as air pollution control;
6. Fueling
   · In Shahid Rajaee Port, fueling is done under supervision of Department of Health and Safety of Environment by means of Bandar Gostar Ltd and Marine Services and Engineering Ltd;
   · Shipmasters of the ships need fueling must deliver their request to fueling companies. To fueling ships, respected companies need the permission of Department of Health and Safety of Environment as well as relevant experts;
7. Staining
   · After getting necessary licenses and permissions, ships berthed in Shahid Rajaee Port are allowed to stain three points in the ships. These three points are as follow:
      a. Ship's name
      b. Draft mark
      c. Load line
   · To stain a ship, her shipmaster must send his request to the Department of Health and Safety of Environment.
