Berths and Jetties

Updated Port facilities specifications for the safe berthing and un-berthing of ships (dimensions as length and Depth of berth or ship draught) currently provided at all of the Shahid Rajaee port berths and they are as follows

Note: Maximum permitted draught is calculated using available hydrographic data and safety factors

1.At the Berths no.13,14,15(sequentially)RO-RO ships have prior sitting than other ships

2.Except berth no.9 all the ships have been berthed by port side, normally; thus berthing by starboard side at berths no. 6,7,19  and by port side at berths no. 9 depends on the harbor master permit

3.Tankers can be berthed at the berths no. 3,19,20 with the more than announced draught, according to the discharge and loading rate and the low limit tide conditions, as well as harbor master permit

4.Administrative coordination between harbor master and cargo handling department will be necessary for proceedings berthing the ships with over than authorized draught determined for berths no. 13,14,15 according to TPC and discharge and loading rate of these ships

5.The limit 15.5  meters currently is the maximum draught to berthing ships due to the depth of the Shahid Rajaee access channel

6.Mentioned specifications at the related tables may be changed for the reasons of circumstances as new results of hydrography proceedings in the basins and  access channel of the port, new Comments of Near-Miss or Marine casualties department, or other Competent authorities

7.Berthing the ships with more than determined length will be done for the container berths no. 4,5,6,7 merely by the harbor master permission

1.Pilotage services for ships with a draught of more than  7 meters are provided in high tide water.

2.Berthing by starboard side at berths no.10  and by port side at berths no. 1 depends on the harbor master permit.

3.Berthing ships at the berth no.10  will be possible when:

    3.1 The berth is clear(empty berth)

    3.2 The vessel berthed at berths no7 and 8 is only one barge or one tug boat(without the barge); or one ship.

4. Berthing ships with more than the capacity of the table is possible by these conditions;

    4.1 Request of shipping companies and port authorities(Non-containerized cargo section),

    4.2 Approval of the Harbor Master
